Multiple Teams · Dickson to Host 2019 Lake Country Conference Track Meet

2019 has been a thrilling year for Dickson Track from grades 6th through 12th. The 2019 season has seen large improvements mainly attributed to the new track and field facility completed in July of 2019 in part of a bond passed in 2016. It has been a long process, but has been well worth the wait and continues to pay dividends for the entire school district and community.

Dickson was able to host their first meet known as the Dickson Comet Relays on the new facility on March 14th with two more meets to follow on April 1st and April 8th respectively. The school has also been given the high honor of hosting the 2019 Lake Country Conference Track Meet in their first year of operations.

The Lake Country Conference is made up of 10 area schools Comanche, Lone Grove, Plainview, Dickson, Marietta, Sulphur, Tishomingo, Madill, Kingston and Byng who compete in basketball, baseball, and track throughout the school year. This meet is comprised of grades 7th through 12th with four divisions; Junior High Girls (7-9), Junior High Boys (7-9), High School Girls, and High School boys. Teams will build their best and all assemble in Dickson, Oklahoma on April 20th. Field Events are set to begin at 9:00 a.m. with running to begin at 9:30 a.m.

Please come out to support the Dickson Track teams and all the athletes competing in the conference track meet.
